Using Tremendous, you can send rewards to recipients located throughout the Americas. This guide covers product availability, localization considerations, and regional restrictions within the continent.
IN THIS GUIDE
Available products in the Americas
Depending on where your recipients are located within the Americas, you can send them prepaid Visa cards, gift cards, monetary payouts, or charity donations. Learn more about each product type’s regional coverage below.
-
Tremendous offers two prepaid Visa products in the Americas:
- The Virtual Visa card can be sent to recipients located throughout the Americas. To check if Virtual Visas can be sent to a specific country or region, see our catalog.
- The Physical Visa card ships to recipients in the US and Puerto Rico only.
Virtual and Physical Visa cards can be spent at any merchant in a supported country that accepts prepaid cards. Balances are stored in USD and convert to local currency when used. Tremendous does not charge any currency conversion fees.
-
Tremendous offers a variety of gift cards in the Americas. For a complete list of available gift cards by country, see our catalog.
Gift card balances are stored in local currency and can only be spent in the country or region they’re issued in. For example, an Amazon.com gift card is issued by Amazon US and can only be used in the United States. If you want to send an Amazon gift card to a recipient in Canada, you must send them an Amazon.ca gift card.
-
Tremendous offers PayPal International transfers to recipients located throughout the Americas. To check if PayPal International transfers can be sent to a specific country, see our catalog.
Additional monetary payouts are also available to recipients in the United States, Brazil, Canada, and Mexico:
- Recipients in the United States can receive bank transfers, Cash App transfers, instant debit transfers, and Venmo transfers.
- Recipients in Brazil can receive PIX transfers to their bank account.
- Recipients in Canada and Mexico can receive bank transfers.
Monetary payouts incur fees, which you can add to your order total or pass through to your recipients. Learn more about monetary payout fees.
Bank transfer payouts in Brazil, Canada, and Mexico
Tremendous must collect some information about your business, including your tax ID or business registration ID, before you can send bank transfers to recipients located in Brazil, Canada, and Mexico. If you already provided your tax ID or business registration ID during account verification, you don’t need to submit it again.
For instructions on how to add or update your tax ID or business ID, see our Help documentation.
Once the required information has been submitted, the international bank transfer product can be added to your campaigns.
- Tremendous offers charity donation payouts to recipients located throughout the Americas. For a complete list of available charities by country, see our catalog.
Denominations
The minimum and maximum value of a reward sent to the Americas depends on the country you're sending to and the specific payout the recipient wants to receive. Download the complete reward catalog for a detailed breakdown of available products and their minimum and maximum values.
Gift card denominations are set by the issuing merchant and may limit what can be redeemed. For example, if you want to send 200 BRL to a Brazilian recipient who wants a Nintendo gift card, which is available only in 50 BRL and 100 BRL denominations, you may need to divide the reward into two separate payouts of 100 BRL. Learn more about how currency conversion can affect this scenario.
Adding local products to campaigns
When creating or editing a campaign, you can filter the product table by location to find and add local products for a region. To the right of the product table, select the “locations covered” link to view a list of regions where at least one local product is included in your campaign.
A single campaign can be used for multiple countries and regions. During redemption, we detect the recipient’s country using their IP location and show them local redemption options only.

Currency and language localization
During the order flow, you can localize your rewards by specifying a currency and language.
-
If you know where your recipients are located, you can specify their local currency. This displays the reward amount to the recipient in the specified currency both before and after redemption.
If you don’t specify a currency, Tremendous will automatically convert the reward amount to the recipient’s local currency at the time of redemption.
Whether you specify a currency or not, your order total will always be calculated and paid in your team currency. Learn more about team currencies.
- When you specify a language, we automatically translate the reward email, text message, and landing page. This includes your campaign messaging, redemption and usage instructions, and regulatory copy. If the recipient redeems a Virtual Visa card, the card page and all transaction notifications are also translated.

Restrictions
Banking regulations prohibit Tremendous from sending rewards to recipients located in Cuba and Venezuela. Learn more about recipient restrictions.
In addition to the prohibited countries listed above, local carrier restrictions prevent us from delivering text message rewards to recipients located in Belize and Haiti. Recipients in these countries can still receive email or link rewards.
