The Virtual Visa card is available in the following countries:
- Japan
- Macau
- Mongolia
- South Korea
- Taiwan
The Virtual Visa card is not available in China and Hong Kong. Recipients based in China and Hong Kong can receive gift cards, PayPal transfers, or charity donations.
Virtual Visa card balances are stored in USD but convert to local currency when spent. Tremendous does not charge any conversion fees to your recipients.
PayPal International transfers are available to recipients throughout East Asia. PayPal International is a premium payout option and incurs fees. Learn more about premium payout fees.
Denominations and localization
The minimum and maximum value of a reward sent to East Asia depends on the country you're sending to and the specific payout the recipient wants to receive. Download the complete reward catalog for a detailed breakdown of available products and their minimum and maximum values.
The maximum and minimum value of each gift card is determined by the issuing merchant. Some gift cards are only available in discrete denominations, eg. 100 CNY and 200 CNY, instead of continuous denominations, eg. 100-500 CNY and everything in between. The value of a reward must match an available denomination in order to be redeemed.
For example, if you want to send a recipient 100 CNY and you know they want to redeem a Starbucks China gift card, which is only available in the amounts of 30 or 50 CNY, you may need to divide the amount into two rewards of 50 CNY each.
