Save your bank account details to Tremendous in order to pay for orders or add to your prefund balance.
This payment option is available only for US bank accounts. If your bank is located outside of the US, see: Funding your account from outside the US
Connect a bank account
- In the left-hand menu, click Billing > Payment methods, then Connect a bank.
- Choose how the bank account can be used: for orders, for topping up your account balance, or both.
- Enter your bank details.
- Tremendous uses Plaid to connect and verify bank accounts. If you use online banking, you can log into your bank to instantly link it to Tremendous.
- If you don't use online banking, or if you don't have your company's online banking credentials, you can enter your bank details manually instead. Select the Manual option and enter your routing number, then select Enter account number instead to enter your account number.
- Plaid will send a $0.01 microdeposit to your account containing a three-character verification code. When the microdeposit arrives, login to Tremendous and click Verify now to enter the verification code.
- Your bank account is now connected and ready to use.
How long does it take for the Plaid microdeposit to arrive?
Microdeposits typically take 1-2 business days to arrive. If the microdeposit hasn't arrived after 2 business days, please contact clients@tremendous.com for assistance.
Pay using a bank account
Your connected bank account can be used to pay for orders or top up your account balance, depending on what permissions you selected when you connected the account.
To pay for an order:
- On the left-hand side of the dashboard, click Send rewards and create your order.
- Select your preferred payment method.
- Enter an external order ID if needed and click Submit.
To top up your account balance:
- On the dashboard homepage, click Add funds and enter the amount you'd like to add.
- Select your preferred payment method and click Submit.
If your preferred bank account can't be selected on the payment page, you may need to edit the bank account payment permissions in the Billing > Payment methods tab of the dashboard.
Payment failures
If a bank account payment fails, Tremendous will notify you by email. It may take 1-2 business days for a payment to fail. If your prefunded account balance was used to pay for orders during that time, or if an order payment failed, your prefunded account balance may be negative.
If Tremendous detects a bank account payment failure, we automatically disable the bank account connection. To resolve a bank account payment failure:
- First, contact your bank to learn why the payment failed. You may need to authorize payments to Tremendous or add more funds to your bank account.
- If your prefunded account balance is negative, you must bring your account into good standing before you can continue to send rewards. You can bring your account into good standing by sending us a wire payment or contacting clients@tremendous.com to ask about alternate payment options.
Once the payment failure has been addressed with your bank and your account has been brought back into good standing, please contact clients@tremendous.com to re-enable the bank account.
