Credit card payments

Save a credit card to your Tremendous account in order to pay for orders or add to your prefund balance. Tremendous accepts credit cards issued worldwide.

Add a credit card

  1. In the left-hand menu, select Billing > Payment methods, then Add a card.
  2. Enter your credit card and billing information.
  3. Choose how the card can be used: for orders, for topping up your account balance, or both.

Credit card transactions incur a non-refundable 3% processing fee. Other payment methods, including invoice payments and bank account payments, do not have a fee.

Why can't my credit card be added?

If you encounter an error when you try to save your credit card details, your credit card issuer may have declined the authorization. The error message will contain information about what caused the decline.

To resolve the error, you may need to update your credit card details or contact your credit card issuer and ask them to authorize payments to Tremendous.

Most prepaid credit cards can't be added to Tremendous. If you're using a prepaid credit card, please use a regular credit card instead.

If the Add a card option isn't available in the Billing > Payment methods tab, please contact clients@tremendous.com to ask about available payment options.

Pay using a credit card

Your credit card can be used to pay for orders or top up your account balance, depending on what permissions you selected when you added the card.

To pay for an order:

  1. On the left-hand side of the dashboard, click Send rewards and create your order.
  2. Select your preferred payment method.
  3. Enter an external order ID if needed and click Submit.

To top up your account balance:

  1. On the dashboard homepage, click Add funds and enter the amount you'd like to add.
  2. Select your preferred payment method and click Submit.

If your credit card can't be selected on the payment page, you may need to edit the card's payment permissions in the Billing > Payment methods tab of the dashboard.

Credit card declines

If your credit card is declined when paying for an order or topping up your prefunded account balance, the order or prefund will fail and Tremendous will notify you by email. Failed orders will move to the Orders and rewards > Order history > Failed tab of your dashboard. Here, you can update your credit card details if needed and retry the payment.

Tremendous will not automatically retry failed payments. To resolve a credit card payment failure, you must contact your credit card issuer to learn why the payment was declined. You may need to authorize payments to Tremendous.

Once payments to Tremendous have been authorized and any credit card problems have been resolved, you can retry the payment.
