Tremendous allows you to apply your branding to your rewards. Customized rewards strengthen your branding and help recipients understand why they received a reward.

Customizing rewards with campaigns

Campaigns are reusable templates which set the visual appearance, copy, and available payout options for your rewards. Using campaigns, you can apply your branding and messaging to the reward email, text message, and webpage.

Reward email customization

The following reward email elements can be customized in the campaign editor:

  1. The logo
  2. The call-to-action button color
  3. The email sender name
  4. The subject line
  5. The message in the email body

Certain additional elements can be customized by contacting our team, including the call-to-action button copy, additional HTML tags in the email body, and more.

Reward emails are delivered from rewards@reward.tremendous.com. The sender email address can’t be customized in the campaign editor. If you’d like to change the sender email address, see White-labelled reward delivery.

Reward text message customization

The copy of your text message rewards can be customized in the campaign editor. For technical reasons, the reward URL can’t be customized.

Text message rewards are delivered from +1 (205) 740-2170. The sender phone number can’t be customized in the campaign editor. If you’d like to send rewards from your own phone number, see White-labelled reward delivery.

Link reward customization

When recipients click on their reward link, they’re brought to the reward page. The following reward page elements can be customized in the campaign editor:

  1. The logo
  2. The background and call-to-action button color
  3. The page headline
  4. The message in the page body

You can also add an additional message to this page if you want to show some extra copy, an image, or a video to your recipients.

Each campaign can be set up with a unique logo, brand colors, sender name, and copy. If you send rewards related to different projects, you can customize all of these elements so that it’s clear to recipients why they’ve received a reward.

Is there anything I can’t customize?

For technical or legal reasons, not everything is customizable. Non-customizable elements include the reward URL, which must be hosted by Tremendous in order for us to render services, and the footer on the reward page, which contains regulatory copy approved by our partner bank.

White-labelled reward delivery

When you send email or text message rewards, Tremendous delivers them on your behalf. Email rewards are delivered via rewards@reward.tremendous.com and text message rewards are delivered by +1 (205) 740-2170.

If you want your rewards to be delivered via a different email address, phone number, or channel, custom SMTP and link rewards are available.

Link rewards

If you don’t want to use Tremendous’ native email and text message reward delivery, you can opt to order reward links and send them to your recipients in whatever way you prefer. Link rewards may be a good fit for your program if:

  • You want to deliver rewards from your own email or phone number
  • You want full control over the appearance of your reward emails or text messages
  • You want to use a different delivery channel, such as WhatsApp, your own app, etc.

When you order link rewards, you receive a CSV of reward URLs which you can distribute to recipients in whatever way you like.

Custom SMTP

If you still want Tremendous to deliver email rewards on your behalf, but want the emails to be sent from your own domain, you have the option to use your own SMTP server for delivery.

There are benefits and drawbacks to using custom SMTP. Custom SMTP improves the branding of your rewards while still allowing you to benefit from Tremendous’ built-in campaign customization and delivery. However, we cannot accurately report delivery status or notify you of failed deliveries if you choose to use your own SMTP server.
