By connecting your Qualtrics account to Tremendous, you can automatically send rewards to users who complete a Qualtrics survey.
Prior to setting up the Qualtrics-Tremendous integration, you must have:
- A Qualtrics license
- The Tremendous extension must added by your Qualtrics Brand Admin (more info here)
- A Tremendous account
When using the Qualtrics integration, please be aware of the following information:
- At this time, the Qualtrics integration supports email rewards only. SMS and link rewards can't be ordered using this integration.
- Qualtrics orders must be paid using your Tremendous prefund balance. If your prefund balance is insufficient, orders will fail. To ensure that your prefund balance doesn't run out, we recommend setting up low balance notifications or using auto-reload.
To protect your survey from duplicate responses and spam, it is strongly recommended to set up fraud prevention.
Set up the Qualtrics integration
- Once your Qualtrics project is ready, ensure that your survey includes two questions that collect the recipient's name and email. This information is required by Tremendous in order to create a reward.
- Select Workflows > Create a workflow > Started by an event, then select Survey response from the available options.
- Select Survey.
- Select Newly created responses > Finish.
- Click the + icon under your new workflow and select Task, then scroll down to Tremendous Rewards.
- Click Add user account, enter your account name, then click Connect account.
- You'll be directed to your Tremendous account. Log in and click Authorize, then select your account and click Next.
- Under Configure Campaign, select the campaign you want to use.
- Input the desired incentive amount, and connect the appropriate survey questions to the Recipient Name and Recipient Email fields. Click the { a } button to the right of the text field, choose to pipe text from a survey question, then choose the second option in the menu (not Question Text). The second option is dynamic depending on the question.
- Click Save and test your survey to ensure it works properly. Once this is completed you can begin distributing your survey and your respondents will receive a reward from Tremendous upon completion.
To protect your survey from receiving duplicate responses, Tremendous supports only one reward per unique email address per survey. When testing your survey, you'll need to use a unique email address for each test reward.
Troubleshooting the Qualtrics integration
Qualtrics response codes are nonspecific and will always say 200 OK if data was sent to Tremendous, even if that data then failed to generate a reward. If you see a 200 OK message in Qualtrics, but your survey respondents aren't receiving any rewards, log in to the Tremendous dashboard to troubleshoot.
Qualtrics orders must be paid using your prefund balance. If your account's prefund balance is insufficient, Qualtrics orders will fail. If you notice that your integration isn’t generating rewards, first check your prefund balance in the Billing > Balance tab and top it up if necessary.
If your prefund balance is sufficient but Qualtrics orders still aren't being created, navigate to Team settings > Integrations & apps, then click the View requests icon next to your survey for more information. Common errors are:
- Insufficient funds - your prefund balance is insufficient or was insufficient at the time the order was attempted.
- Missing/invalid recipient name or email - this typically means that the wrong survey question has been linked to a Tremendous reward field. To make adjustments, navigate to Team settings > Integrations & apps > Configure, click the gear icon, and ensure that the correct survey question is linked to each Tremendous field.
- Invalid language or Invalid currency - the language or currency code is not being sent to Tremendous an accepted format. Tremendous uses two-letter ISO-639-1 language codes and three-digit ISO 4217 currency codes.
