The Tremendous recipient experience supports keyboard navigation, screen readers, browser zoom, and other assistive technology. This article explains how to use these features and how to get help.
This information covers reward redemption and prepaid card management in a web browser. Tremendous does not have a mobile app experience for recipients.
Navigating with a keyboard
You can use standard keyboard controls throughout the recipient experience:
- Press
Tabto move forward andShift+Tabto move backward. - Press
EnterorSpaceto activate a focused button or link. - Use the arrow keys within menus, lists, and groups of options.
- Press
Escapeto close an open dialog.
When you first press Tab at the top of a page, a Skip to main content link lets you bypass repeated content. A visible outline shows which control has keyboard focus.
Tremendous does not use product-specific accessibility shortcuts.
Using a screen reader
The recipient experience provides labels and structure that screen readers use to identify:
- Page headings and regions
- Links, buttons, and other controls
- Form fields and required information
- Validation errors and status updates
- Meaningful images and graphics
Use your screen reader's standard commands to move by heading, link, button, or form field. Internal testing has included VoiceOver with Safari on macOS and iOS, and NVDA with Chrome and Firefox on Windows.
Known limitation for prepaid card details
Some virtual prepaid card details are displayed through a secure third-party component. In some cases, a screen reader may not announce the card number.
If this happens, contact our support team and say that you need accessibility help. We can arrange assistance, including a phone call when needed.
Enlarging the page
Use your browser's zoom controls or your device's text-size settings to enlarge the recipient experience. Tremendous does not disable browser zoom.
Using Tremendous without sound
You do not need sound to redeem a reward. Tremendous does not use audio to provide instructions, errors, or status information in the recipient experience.
How we test accessibility
We internally test the recipient experience against WCAG 2.2 Level AA and the Revised Section 508 Standards.
Our internal review combines:
- Automated scans with axe
- AI-assisted source-code review
- Keyboard-only testing
- Screen reader testing using NVDA with Chrome and Firefox on Windows and VoiceOver with Safari on macOS and iOS
We have selected Deque Systems to conduct an independent audit of our accessibility. Deque will evaluate the recipient experience against WCAG 2.2 Level AA and Section 508. It will document the results in an Accessibility Conformance Report (ACR) using the Voluntary Product Accessibility Template (VPAT).
We will update this article when the independent audit is complete.
