While all of our fraud prevention rules help you flag fraudulent redemptions, there are three in particular that are effective regardless of which industry you’re in or the makeup of your recipients — plus, they only require one click to enable.
What are the recommended rules and why are they recommended?
1. Flag rewards redeemed by blocked recipients
This rule identifies recipients your team has previously blocked, even when they redeem from a different IP or email address, and flags rewards they redeem. Since your team has blocked this recipient once, it’s recommended that you continue to flag their rewards going forward to stop repeat offenders.
2. Flag based on the Tremendous fraud list
Our algorithm detects suspicious recipients across millions of payouts within the Tremendous network — this rule flags any rewards those suspicious recipients redeem. This is an easy way to flag potential fraud that we’re seeing across our network that you may not otherwise catch.
3. Flag if device or account has multiple associated emails
This rule flags rewards redeemed by devices or accounts linked to multiple recipient emails. If this is the case, it could be a fraudster trying to cycle through different email addresses to scam you and it’s better to flag those rewards.
